Reel Rumors Sport Fishing Charters in Au Gres
We are docked at the Au Gres Yacht Club on the AuGres river. It’s a short ride down the river into some of the best walleye waters Michigan has to offer. The dock location is perfect as we chase the walleye's migrating from the south end of the bay in spring, and usually ending the late summer season as far as the Northeast side of the Big Charity Island with nothing out of reach for the fully equipped Kingfisher. Regardless if the best numbers of walleye are 3 miles or 16 miles from port they are within reach if weather conditions allow. On most days and depending on location you will experience a mixed bag which may include perch, sheapshead, catfish with the occasional northern pike and steel head. As we are a full time charter (not a weekend charter) we are in constant pursuit of the best fishing the bay has to offer.
Captain Dale Megie has been fishing the great lakes for 50 years with much of that time guiding clients hammering walleye on the Detroit River, Lake Erie, Lake St Clair, and Saginaw Bay. Captain Dale has also spent many days fishing for salmon on Lake Huron. His tournament experience includes multiple top ten finishes and a 2nd place finish in the Alpena Brown Trout Super Tournament. Captain Dale brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to you through Reel Rumors Sport Fishing Charters. You'll fish aboard a 2016 Kingfisher 2425 Hardtop. It features a super strong aluminum fully welded hull complete with an enclosed (when needed) cabin with comfortable seating and an enclosed toilet. The deep hull and wide beam make for a comfortable day on the bay. You'll meet at the Reel Rumors Sport Fishing Charters slip in our home port in the Au Gres River. The trip down the river then out on the bay provides a breath taking view as the sun rises over the water. The return trip will feature lots of pictures, and measuring and weighing "the big ones," Upon request, we will clean and package your fish for the trip home. Saginaw Bay is an outstanding walleye fishery, and there are plenty of perch that occasionally end up on a line and in the live well. The Saginaw Bay walleye limit is 8 fish per person, allowing more fishing and more fast action. Call to book your trip soon! At Reel Rumors Sport Fishing Charters you'll get more than a fish story!!!
